Around 100,000 people and 70 parade floats glided through the center of Beijing during the massive parade marking the high-time of celebrations for China's 70th anniversary on National Day on Oct 1st 2019.
[[Oct 15, 2019] Around 100,000 people and 70 parade floats glided through the center of Beijing during the massive parade marking the high-time of celebrations for China's 70th anniversary on National Day on Oct 1st 2019. The parade lasted 65 minutes and was broadcasted live all through. The China Central TV (CCTV) has successfully taken this mission critical job. CCTV has adopted many state-of-the-art technologies in the event. Cogent Technologies was proud to be selected by CCTV to provide many of the new technologies. In fact this important event can be regarded as the showcase for Cogent Technologies in the Ultra High definition (UHD) 4K IP production infrastructure products, the Software-defined-network (SDN) control, as well as in the UHD 4K 5G bonded cellular acquisition systems.
CCTV has assigned two A-size and one B-size 4K UHD OB Vehicles to cover the parade. All these has installed with our SDN. SDN successfully performed switching and routing, tally, audio-follow-video, and camera joystick control. Inter vehicles switching and routing were also actualized by the SDN. The status of all the IP sub systems were also visualized and monitored by the SDN. A wide variety of programmable control panels enable the operator to control their 4K UHD IP systems seamlessly.

The main studio in the TV complex was also installed with our SDN. The SDN orchestrated the routers, mixers and monitoring etc. Since the studio would also be used to cover the Grand Evening Gala at the same day, our SDN provide a “macro” that the settings of the studios can be changed with one touch of the button.

In addition to the live broadcast in the TV and streaming media platforms, the live signals were also feed to hundreds of UHD cinema all over the country. We provided three 4k UHD Delay System at the main output to facilitate the broadcasting to all these cinemas.

The market first 4K 5G bonded cellular of Cogent also shined in the event. This mobile system was put onto one of the parade crew at the back of a bicycle. This provides streaming of 4K video over 5G network live to provide audiences with new and exciting views of parade.

The event was a big success. This was regarded as the showcase for Cogent Technologies in the UHD and 5G world - 4K IP production infrastructure products, the Software-defined-network (SDN) control, as well as in the UHD 4K 5G bonded cellular acquisition systems.
